All repairs, servicing or tuning work will require an appointment, but we will try to do an emergency repair for you ASAP. Please contact us first for advice.

General repairs include anything from straightening bent keys, regulating mechanism, or replacing a tenon cork. All of these can usually be done while-you-wait, but some repairs such as stuck screws or bent keywork can take longer.

Servicing:
Please allow at least a week for servicing work. This involves a complete strip-down of the instrument, replacement of pads, corks and springs as necessary. Tone holes are inspected and dressed as necessary. With wooden instruments we clean and oil the bore as well.

Tuning:
Specific tuning work will be undertaken with the player in attendance.

Keywork adaptations:
This might be required to assist a players ability to reach specific keys, for instance in the case of a hand injury or similar. If keys need replating, we will usually send these away to our specialist platers. Both nickel and silver plating are available.
